NEW UPDATE for 2022:

We had a good show in 2021 with a fantastic turnout on the day and we are hoping to have another successful show in 2022.

The first Saturday in July as usual – July 2nd is the date !

Our 2022 printed schedule will be available in May but if you want to see the schedule of classes for this year then they are available on this site. Entry forms are also on this site.

We do hope you will join us for another great show

Whether you are planning to take part or maybe just visiting our show we do hope to see you Saturday 2nd July 2022.  You will find us on the Tolleshunt D’Arcy Recreation Ground behind the Village Hall.  There is ample parking on the Recreation Ground and it is well signed

Tolleshunt D’Arcy, in Essex, has a long and proud tradition of holding this Horticultural show in the first week of July. Our first show was held in 1884.

Our committee tries to combine the Show’s history with new innovations added over the years. We introduced photography classes many years ago and now this is one of our most popular sections. There are a large number of entries and the quality of photographs is excellent.

Our small committee works each year to ensure the show can continue and that everyone who comes along enjoys themselves.  We have but one purpose and that is to put on the show.  The only funding we receive is from those who support us each year and from the income we generate on the day.  Each year we aim to break even so we can keep putting on the show year after year although we are not always successful.  Costs – especially for the insurance and the traditional canvas marquee have risen in recent years but we’re committed to keeping up the village tradition.

I hope to see you at the Show on 2nd July this year whether you enter a few classes or are just visiting to admire everyone else’s efforts and spend some time taking in some of our stalls and activities  – and don’t forget our fun dog show.

We aim to make this a day out for all the family – we hope to see you there.

Leigh Arnold

Chairman of the Tolleshunt D’Arcy Horticultural Society
