Taking part or just visiting we hope to see you on Saturday 7th July 2018 – you will find us on the Tolleshunt D’Arcy recreation ground behind the village hall

Tolleshunt D’Arcy, in Essex, has a long and proud tradition of holding this Horticultural show in the first week of July, 2018 will be our 133rd show.

Our committee tries to combine the Show’s history with new innovations added over the years. We introduced photography classes several years ago and now this is one of our most popular sections. Each year we also see the local Primary School (St Nicholas) open their hall to display their art and craft skills.

Our small committee works each year to ensure the show can continue and that everyone who comes along enjoys themselves.  We have but one purpose and that is to put on the show.  The only funding we receive if from those who support us each year and from what we take on the day.  Each year we aim to break even so we can keep putting on the show year after year.  Costs – especially for the  insurance and the traditional canvas marquee have risen in recent years but we’re committed to keeping up the village tradition.

I hope to see you at the Show on 7th July this year whether you enter a few classes or are just visiting to admire everyone else’s efforts and spend some time taking in some of our stalls and activities including a dog show.

We try and make this a day out for all the family – we hope to see you there.

Leigh Arnold

Chairman of the Tolleshunt D’Arcy Horticultural Society
